The Department of Engineering Education's Dr. Patrick Herak continues EED's weekly seminar series with his presentation: “Finding Life Balance in Teaching: Knowing Yourself and Looking for the Overlap.” Dr. Herak will share his reflections on how his past experiences, education, and hobbies have led to a sustainable work/life balance. Dr. Herak has four degrees from Ohio State: BSE (Science Education), MS (Env Sci), MS (Civil Engineering), and PhD (STEM Education). Dr. Herak was a secondary science teacher for 18-years, and recently was selected by the Ohio Department of Education to serve on Ohio’s Model Curriculum writing team for grades 6-12 physical science. Dr. Herak has presented at numerous education conferences at the state, national and international levels.

The series will continue with weekly seminars held every Friday at Caldwell Laboratory Room 220 from 10:20 am – 11:15 am through April 13, 2018.
