The 2020 Engineering Capstone Showcase is canceled. This decision was made in alignment with other precautionary measures surrounding COVID-19 across the campus community and the country.

The Annual Engineering Design Showcase is a culmination of senior undergraduate capstone design projects from all engineering disciplines. Individual students or student teams present their projects and selected findings to industry, the OSU community and general public. The 2020 Capstone Design Showcase is sponsored by the Department of Engineering Education (EED), ArcelorMittal, and Honda.
Student Registration Information
Senior Undergraduate Students,
Please join other students in participating in the Annual Department of Engineering Education (EED) Engineering Design Showcase. This event was created to recognize your hard work and excellence in completing your undergraduate senior capstone design project.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to display your projects to sponsors, industry professionals, academic committees, faculty, and other students. The event is sponsored by the EED, ArcelorMittal and Honda.
Registration is required. Registration begins on Friday, February 21, 2020 and closes at midnight on Monday, March 30, 2020. [CANCELED]
1. Online Registration: please include the following information in your registration:
- Project Title
- Short Project Description (100 word limit)
- Course Enrolled
- Student(s) (with majors)
- Faculty Advisor(s)
- Project Sponsor
- Sponsor Contact(s)
** Due to space limitations, if you do not pre-register, you will not be allowed to participate in the Showcase.
2. Display Set Up (Tuesday, April 21st from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm)
- Students will be asked to set up a display that will best represent their project. Each team will have a space that includes a 4’ x 4’ vertical foam core board to mount a poster with push pins and a 2’ x 6’ table to display any prototypes or computer simulations. Please note that no electrical power will be available so plan accordingly. You must set up your display between 1:00 - 3:30 pm on the day of the event in the Union’s Archie Griffin Ballroom. You will be notified of your assigned location in the Ballroom at the event.
Due to space limitations, your prototypes or computer simulations must fit on the provided table space.
