My training and expertise is in understanding and teaching writing and communication, with a special focus on scientific and science writing. My research includes work on communication of science to the public in museums, pedagogy of technical communication, and development of organizational professional development resources. 

I teach undergraduate and graduate courses in citizenship and engineering, technical communication, and research communications, and I also consult with faculty and graduate students to strengthen the writing quality of theses, manuscripts, and proposals.
